Happy Holidays! 2016 Wrap-up STATS

Hey everyone!

Everything is winding down for Christmas. For me, in Australia that means hot days and even hotter nights, prawns, smoked hams, asparagus and laying in a pool full of cold water to fend off the summer heat. It also means that I’ll have two weeks off my day job to finish writing my 5th book for this year! Affectionately nicknamed SOTS, and featuring a bad-ass assassin who is afraid of dying. Draft Zero has already begun and my spirits are high!…for now…

In other news, just over two months from now Broken Sunrise releases into the world. The final book in the Hardest Mistakes Series, and the end to my first ever published series as a writer. (Oh wow, I hadn’t actually thought of that until I wrote it just now.) I feel as though I’m about to hit a milestone… Onward and upward from here! The local library where I live are going to be hosting a Book Launch party where we will be playing games and doing heaps of giveaways. If you live in Australia and you are in the area, come on over and say hi! It is on Saturday the 25th of February 2017.

This year was pretty big for me. Even amidst the dumpster fire that 2016 has been, good things have happened.

  • I finished completely moving into our new house.
  • I got married.
  • My baby brother got engaged.
  • I started gardening! #greenthumb

Here’s hoping for a fantastic 2017 filled with luck and awesomeness.

Now on to my end of year stats in the writing world.

I wrote/started/finished 5 books this year. A record for me! 🙂

Here they are with completed word counts. (Names have been shortened or changed to keep the secrets, secret…)

  • Broken Sunrise – 63,000
  • LITE – 90,000
  • UN – 85,000
  • RIFT – 47,000
  • SOTS (Started) – 13,000

For a grand total of 298,000 words approx written this year!

Wow. No wonder I’m exhausted and ready for the holidays…

HAPPY HOLIDAYS EVERYONE! Thank you all from the bottom of my heart for listening to my rambling. I’ll see you all in the new year. 2017 will be a good year, you guys. It has to be.

Stay safe,
Dannielle xx

Wow! You sure did have an eventful year. Moving house is stressful enough! I can’t imagine Christmas being in the summertime. That seems so strange for me. I truly hate the cold weather though. Someday when I’m old I’ll move someplace warm like Australia. See you then!

I wished I lived in Australia where it’s hot during Christmas and I were able to go to your Book Launching party in Feb. 2017. Congrats on your wedding, your new home, and for being able to write a lot of words!
